Over 300 green turtles and a vast number of loggerhead turtles have made Alagadi Turtle Beach their nesting spot. The whole process of laying, cooling, and hatching turtle eggs happens between May and July. When the babies emerge from their shells, they have minutes to reach the sea; they do so by following the moon's reflection on the water's surface. Therefore, at this beach you won't find hotels, clubs, traffic lights, or any other sources of artificial light. Everything is dedicated to the turtles; and consequently the golden sand, low greens, and wildlife feel at home. Because of turtle preservation, people are not allowed on the beach during the night during nesting season.
