Walk along the mountain pathway, 950 m (3,100 ft) above the sea level for unmatched views of North Cyprus. Tour the remains of this 11th-century Byzantine structure and visit its crumbling hallways with large stone windows. Look for the ruins of an old cistern near the dormitories where soldiers once slept. Wear comfortable shoes, as paths at the site are rough. So worth climbing, the views are stunning across the whole island, it takes 30 mins to get to the top from the last car park. You can choose to do a longer hike (10km) as well through the wilderness. For more information regarding trails pick up “walks in North Cyprus” book. We bought it for 5euro in the city centre in the “tower” of Kyrenia. Ask in the info point.

It’s beautiful place, and we have to visit it one time in your life, you can see the sea view from the palace. I don’t advice this journey for elder people or children. It’s little dangerous, long and high stairs. And it could be better if taking car of it.
