Create an itinerary including Kato Paphos Archaeological Park
A World Heritage Site, Kato Paphos Archaeological Park features monuments from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, including some of the finest mosaics in the Eastern Mediterranean. See remnants of Roman villas and fortresses, some of them with floors made of colorful stone, representing scenes from Greek mythology. Take a walk through the arid lands, over dunes, and among ruins, and look for monuments such as Ancient Odeon--a 2nd-century theater built entirely out of limestone blocks--and Saranta Kolones, which features remnants of a Byzantine castle destroyed in a 1222 earthquake.  Plan to visit Kato Paphos Archaeological Park and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Paphos attractions using our Paphos sightseeing planning app.

  • Well worth a visit if you are staying or visiting Paphos. Very large area to stroll about at leisure, with lots to see. Lovely mosaics that have been preserved. You can easily spend a few hours...

  • An amazing place in many ways. Great to be able to wander at whim around the large site, discovering bits as we went. We didn’t feel the need for any more information than the signs that were there.....  more

  • Good way to get sunburn. Most of it is out in the sun. ♨️☀️ Mosaics are nice, but there is nothing else to see. Not worth 4.5 euros. No audio guide, no water available, very nasty toilet...just a wasteland
  • We’ve been to the archeological park next to Paphos harbour. We visited this site in the beginning of september 2021. We’ve paid 2,5euro to enter the park. Once in the park you can visit the old structures which is facinating. Some of the structures are not fully uncovered yet. So if you are lucky like we were you can see some archeologists digging up. Overall it was a nice place to visit. One of the downsides is that not every building is dug up and that there is no information whatshowever on the buildings. The buildings that are dug up are really nice to see.
