Create an itinerary including Paphos Harbour Castle
At the edge of Paphos Seafront walkway, the robust, cube-shaped Paphos Harbour Castle served the Byzantine Empire, the Lusignans, the Ottomans, the Greeks, and the English. The medieval castle was rebuilt twice--once after an earthquake in 1222 and again at the end of the 16th century. It also served as a storage area for salt. Enter the castle by crossing an old bridge over a small pond, and then climb the stairs inside to reach the top. From here you'll get some of the best views of the seafront and the Mediterranean Sea. • It was ok and worth a visit but not as good as i expected, there's a bit to read about it on the wall but not enough really to take you back.

  • The castle is a small building down near the sea. While it is small it’s not without history or interesting architecture. Cost is €2.50 per adult to get in and it doesn’t take long to walk around...

  • Best enjoyed from the outside. There's a decent view from the top, but it wasn't worth the 2.50 entry fee. Inside the 'castle' is a small art exhibition and stairs to the rooftop, but there's not a great deal of interest. Fror the same price, you can visit The Tombs of the Kings, which is stunning in comparison.
  • I had expected something more from this. If you want to see a castle with a capital C, come to Slovakia. This is something that was left from a castle and functions as a tiny little gallery which offers a nice view of the surrounding area from the top of the building. The ticket cost was 2,5€. I really feel like they shouldn't ask you for any money to enter this place.
