This is my favorite beach in Dominica. Smooth black sand beach, not crowded and not full of tourists. Go on the off season to have the beach to yourself. Clear water and quiet beach

Mero has undergone some serious and significant changes due to hurricanes and the loss of the jetty and the local beachside Hotel. However it still retains its magical place as a premier Black Sand beach with balmy waters and gently sloping waterline. Just be aware when the waves are strong around the equinox of the moon. This also affect the water visibility from 40m to Zero.

Went early Sunday morning. Took a walk and ended at the beach. The water was cool, it felt awesome. Have you water shoes. Very calm in the early morning.
