Great exploring around the castle, its churches, armoury and torture museum, and gardens. Fairly easy walk up, with a lot of it under shade. Great views from the top. The café up the top is expensive but has nice views. Easy to get to on the no. 7 bus from the port. €12 per person and they accept card. They give you a little pamphlet with the history and information.

Wonderful views and nice gardens. You need a few hours in order to visit the entire castle and to enjoy it's views (we spent @3hours here and didn't visit 3 or more points that were on the list- you receive it at the ticket office point) .
