I did two tour with Info Matera Tourist Information. In the morning we did the extended walking tour with Alina. Our guide was amazing. Well prepared and made the tour very informative and fun. Despite they were tons of people and waiting time to get in to the facilities .. she kept us busy by sharing her knowledge. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Alina and her tour. In the afternoon we went to Le Murge Park. This was completely the opposite experience we had in the morning. The all park is basically managed but the tour guides who need to organise visits to the sites amount themselves. What could have been a one hour visit became a 3 hours long excursion. Long waiting time ... tour guide often having to organise keys with other tour guides to enter the site. At the end to see the last church we had to shorten our visit to 5 minutes whereas the other groups spent solid 15 minutes in each site. Ridiculous!!

The tuk tuk tour we had yesterday was really poor. The guide spoke English but barely said anything or made any stops. Was just an expensive taxi ride of the area. Didn’t even last an hour. The cave house was cool but you can get there yourself and pay 2 euros. $25 euros per person was expensive! Not recommended just walk yourself around. We told the manager at the till that we didn’t like our tour at the end he pretended he didn’t understand.
