Absolute best subterranean experience in Matera! Must see!! Excellent audio guide included in the entrance fee.

Not a very popular tourist attraction but the €7 entrance fee is totally worth it! You get to walk underground around formal houses and feel what it was like living in Matera a few centuries ago. The guy at the ticket desk was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Recommend visiting!
