Create an itinerary including Ninomaru Garden
A peaceful oasis in the midst of downtown Tokyo, Ninomaru Garden offers a quiet break from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Created in 1968, the garden has a historic significance as well. Walk the narrow, winding paths searching for the remains of castle walls, moats, and gates, while enjoying the sights and scents of seasonal flowers--azaleas in spring, irises in summer, and camellias in winter. The pond with slowly-swimming long-finned koi fish attracts photography enthusiasts, especially during Sakura (cherry blossom) season. If you get thirsty, stop by the tea house. • Absolutely stunning gardens on the east side of the Imperial Palace gardens. Perfectly maintained, flora delicately groomed with love and attention. The koi pond with a quaint but sturdy bridge running across it being a highlight. Small bamboo forest. Groves with streams. All bringing peace in the middle of the city.
  • Not the most beautiful garden I've seen but it's free and in a concenient location. We did see many beautiful flowers so we loved that!
