Create an itinerary including Ugafuku Shrine ( Goddess of Money Washing)
Wash your money in the cave spring of Ugafuku Shrine ( Goddess of Money Washing) and, hopefully, it will multiply. Despite its small size, this 12th-century Shinto shrine enjoys popularity in Kanagawa because of a widely held belief that the holy water inside the dugout cave has the power to bring prosperity in business and good luck with money. Enter through a tunnel in the hillside, halfway down from the park at the foot of the hill, and buy a basket with accessories. Light a candle, burn incense, and pray before you wash the money. Following a steep road, this is a 20 minute walk from Kamakura railway station. • One of the most special place to come meditate in Kamakura. There is a ceremony in which you wash bills and coins as to get luck at money. I like the small tea house next to the temple. You have to get through a small tunnel to access this shrine. A 20 min walk from Kita-Kamakura station.
  • A quiet, hidden shrine for worshipping the Goddess of water, music and good fortune. There's a cave that leads to the natural amphitheater somewhere in the middle of Kamakura.
