Explore peaceful and thoughtfully designed spaces while becoming acquainted with a world-renowned Buddhist philosopher at D. T. Suzuki Museum. In a modern and minimalist setting conceived by architect Taniguchi Yoshio, explore the work and philosophies of Suzuki, who was instrumental in bringing Eastern ideas into mainstream Western thought. Investigate the three buildings arranged around a tranquil central pond, including the Contemplative Wing, dedicated solely to peaceful reflection. • If you have time to sit around and contemplate, then go for it. If you want to see different things and learn about Japan, skip it. I was through it in 5 minutes. I can meditate as I do yoga back...

  • This is a small but very elegant museum dedicated to the life and work of Daisetsu Teitaro Suzuki. He introduced Zen Buddhism to the west. It is not a big museum and you can not see much. But...

  • Must visit Museum in Kanazawa. World famous architect, Yoshino Taniguchi’s artwork. You can take a look wonderful water-mirror garden without ticketing from out side of the museum but pretty worth visiting inside too. Love to visit again.
  • Opinion might be biaised as I don't know the philosopher introduced in that museum. To be honest, the only interesting part was the outside architecture. And you can see it from the path going around the museum, so there was no point paying 310¥ for it.
