Create an itinerary including Kyoto International Manga Museum
Explore Japanese art and culture at Kyoto International Manga Museum, an institution dedicated to Japanese comic books. Find out about the subject matter and drawing styles of some of the most famous and influential manga, and learn how the focus and aesthetics have developed since the making of the museum's earliest pieces, which date back to the 19th century. Set in an old elementary school (incidentally, a common setting in many manga), the museum has temporary exhibits and a permanent collection of over 300,000 manga. Take an introductory drawing lesson, and have your portrait drawn by one of the resident artists. To plan Kyoto vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

  • Immense variety of Manga books! You can read them all but it was too busy so no more place to sit down. There is also a cool shop that you can enter without paying for the museum itself!
  • Huge collection of manga with details of manga history. 3 floors. There's section for souvenirs/shop. Lockers are available to store personal items.
