  • It would be impossible to visit every temple even within Kyoto, with a limited time frame this is a worthwhile visit if you're in the area. I went specifically to see the zen garden and it didn't disappoint. It's a large open space and the level of commitment, patience and discipline to pick up every leaf and branch and then re-rake and re-shape that entire space on a daily basis is nothing short of remarkable and inspiring. The rest of the temple grounds are beautiful and just as well landscaped but one can just sit and appreciate the zen garden and it wouldn't be considered as time wasted.
  • Beautiful and one of beat place to see autumn leaves, autumn colours in autumn season, Kyoto. Too crowded because of autumn colours. Lot's of couples come to feel autumn colours in cool weather wearing kimono. It's traditional trend in Kyoto. Recommend to go there day after rainy day, rain refresh autumn leaves and colours.....
