We walked this path along a stream, with lots of flowering trees, pretty bridges, and little cafes along the way. There were also a number of smaller shrines and temples to visit if you have the time.

A must do when in Kyoto. Worth taking a bust from the city center and start the tour South to North in the morning hours. You will beat the crowds and enjoy the temples with less people around.

Absolutely go during sakura season!!! The stroll through the snow of cherry blossom petals was one of the most magical moments of my trip! Very funny festival vibes as well with all the food to go and ice cream shops. Like anywhere touristy in Kyoto it is fairly crowded though…

Very beautiful path surrounded by nature. Lovely spot for peaceful walk by the river, under the huge trees. Also you may find so many attractions by the neighbourhood temples, local souvenier shops, cafè's, restaurants.
