Take a pleasant stroll through Kairakuen Park, a large Japanese garden offering some natural relief from the urbane surroundings. Considered one of the three great gardens of Japan, the park's name translates as "a park to be enjoyed together," indicative of the fact that it was, unlike the other two, always designed to be enjoyed by the local populace. Opened in 1841, the gardens display white, pink, and red plum blossom trees, a bamboo grove, cedar wood, and a traditional Japanese building in the center. You can buy the ticket at the entrance, dont’t need to make reservation in advance. Heard that it’s one of three most beautiful garden in Japan, I went here on end of March. It’s nice that I can see a lot of plum flowers.
