Toyako Forest Museum, Toyako-cho

We were told the boat and the island only open in summer. It was in fact a very nice experience walking on the island. Apart from visiting the forest museum, you can also walk INTO the forest. First, you need to register at the reception of the forest museum with you name and time if you plan to walk into the forest. There are paths you can follow in the forest so it is not a problem. it is a real forest so you will see different kinds of insect and animals. The gate close at 3pm so make sure you go early enough!

This island does not provide much attraction and you may need to pay for the water transport to get there. But the scenery is a big Thumbs up! The island is covered by a mysterious atmosphere as well!
