  • Free museum in the Powder Tower that is well worth some of your time if in the Old Town. Major coverage of WW1 & the subsequent Latvian War of Independence. Not as in depth on WW2, though to be fair.....  more

  • I thought the museum was average for someone who doesn't speak Latvian- but as it is free and very central it is worth having a bit of a look around. The strangest thing is the staff following you.....  more

  • It is very nice and huge museum. I definitely recommend visiting it. Museum is Free of charge and it is open until 17:00. You can learn a lot about Latvian history and also surrounded countries. I really like modern historic part and after || world war.
  • This museum is very important to the Latvian people , the story tells how they fought and challenges faced during the first and second world wars. Amazing how the buildings are still standing tall as well as the barracks which students clean up and visit all the time. This museum is free and an absolute must for any one visiting Riga
