If you are in Bhaktapur, You have to, Have to visit this place. The Peacock shop is a kind of a Paper Factory & a Stationery Shop too. They have a setup which is spread over the 4 floors of the building that is a paper factory cum home. They made hand made paper and offer a free tour of the same. They also make a lot of books, calendars, postcard etc in the same building and sell the same too, I bought a bag full of stuff. They have a screen printing set of ladies who make bookmarks, diaries etc. The owner of the shop is a really nice person and tells about the entire place in so much detail. The place also has a souvenir shop where they sell Books, Notebooks, Wooden stamps etc for the people. There are a lot of sign boards leading to the place however I was surprised to see that no good reviews or photographs of the same exist. Although the paper workshop was badly damaged by the earthquake it's now running again, so you can witness the production process and buy quality Nepali paper products. They also show you how they are working on new reinforced methods to build their house again. and how much detail they have added to the design. They take you to the terrace to show a view of the damaged city too.

We bought three prints and framed them today. Love the story behind this shop and about each piece of paper/print you can buy there. Very unique and one of a kind pieces of art. The owner of the shop is very passionate about what he does, esp the woodcarvings around the entirety of the shop.
