Garden of Dreams
Escape the city hubbub and retreat to Garden of Dreams, a peaceful garden complex renowned for its scenic pavilions. Also known as the “Garden of Six Seasons," it was built in 1920 for Field Marshall Kaiser Sumsher Rana and was abandoned after his death in the 1960s. Today, restored with help of the Austrian government, it remains a landmark of Kathmandu and a popular spot for a relaxing stroll. Roaming the lush gardens, you can admire Edwardian-style inspired fountains, birdhouses, gazebos, and other picturesque decorations. A quaint garden at the junction of two busy streets, with lots of quiet and greenery and a bit of history worth reliving. There are a few friendly squirrels around and it is entertaining to watch...

The squirels are so cute and they are everywhere. Lovely flowerbeds and fountains. Great for instragram pics. Lots of renovations going on as well though at the moment.

Don’t listen to the haters. It’s a Lovely little garden. Yes there is an entry fee, but the garden is v nice. It’s a nice break from being a tourist in the city. It was very relaxing to sit back and enjoy people watching. It seemed like a very popular spot with locals and hence does tend to get crowded so time your visit accordingly.

Beautiful garden, albeit a bit small but that's expected as Kathmandu is a small but interesting city. A very relaxing, quiet and secluded area where you almost forget that you're in Nepal. If you're planning on where to go during the day, then this garden is a great shout but you'll spend 1-2 hour max here as it isn't very big, as previously mentioned. Definitely still visit this place though, I highly recommend it.
