Kathmandu Durbar Square
When in Kathmandu, don’t forget to pay a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site surrounded by historic buildings. Although the square has suffered extensive damage in the 2015 earthquake, many of the buildings remain standing and some will undergo refurbishments. Enjoy the traditional Nepalese architecture of the spacious square and get a feel for the Kathmandu city atmosphere. Admire the house of the Kumari, left unscathed in the earthquake, where the virgin goddess lives until reaching puberty. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of her passing by a window. By using our Kathmandu driving holiday planning app, you can arrange your visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square and other attractions in Kathmandu.

The museum is interesting, some of the buildings still under construction but it was beautiful! Didn’t hire a guide because the language (English) wasn’t clear on the ones that approached us...

One of the top tourist attractions in Kathmandu. If you have to pay to enter. Many guides will try to guzzle you for a paid tour but a guide is needed unless you have your own guide book.

The famous place since ages. It was the royal court from the ancient ages. Previously the kings family used to sit and work on the hearings. Along with the prolific architecture of Wooden carvings this place is having a lot of temples and areas of shopping. A beautiful place to spend evening and mornings. A must visit place.

It was very nice and informative place. Here we can see the oldest architectural design. Without any machinery they build so many high rise buildings and they're still very strong. It's q very nice tourists spot. Kids and students can visit here and they can learn more about past.
