They did not let us in. Indians are definitely not welcomed here. It was brimming with white people. Guard said only booked people are allowed, you can not go there as day attraction.

My friend and I walked for about an hour to get there at around 3.50 pm but the security guy didn't let us come in. He just used the body language and Nepali, didn't speak English so we couldn't understand the reason. A waiter of a nearby restaurants told us to come in the early to be able to get inside that was helpful to know. The view from this place was great. The road to get here also has some beautiful view point. But quite dusty and many rubbish...

My experience at Kopan was life changing. My boyfriend and I did the 5 day Mind and Meditation training course in October 2022 and for both of us, it has fundamentally changed the way we think about ourselves, relationships, love, and life in general. This place is incredibly special, from the buildings and setting, to the monks and nuns (big shout out to Khadro, the most amazing nun that was patient, compassionate and kind with all of her teachings and guided meditations - explaining why we meditate, how we meditate and picking apart concepts such as love and death), to the people that you meet during the course. I loved not having my phone for 5 days (shocking). I loved the silence we observed from after dinner until lunch the next day. I loved the group discussions. All I can say is wow. If you show up with an open mind and an open heart, you have the potential to heal yourself in ways that you may never have thought were possible. I’ll see you again soon Kopan ❤️
