Create an itinerary including Kathmandu Durbar Square
Take a walk through Kathmandu Durbar Square, a social and spiritual center of town. Badly damaged during the devastating earthquake in 2015--which completely destroyed five temples--the sites here have been sensitively restored and stand in testament to the Nepalese spirit and community. Stroll between the numerous landmarks, admiring the Buddhist and Hindu temples and their idiosyncratic, yet somehow charmingly united and complementary architecture and artworks. With our custom trip planner, Patan (Lalitpur) attractions like Kathmandu Durbar Square can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • After walking into this area (that's not signposted) you will be quickly approached by a ticket tout trying to charge you 1000rp which would be steep if just the museam but includes the square itself....  more

  • Amazing Place which is on world heritage too. Hardly suggesting you to visit this place. ❤️💜 Whether you are Nepalese or Foreigners, I hardly recommend this place. I usually don't like every place 😌 But this is something differ where you can get to another level of relief and peace with the ancient and the most beautiful construction I have ever seen. You may see there are a lot of pigeons which are the symbol of peace and many more beautiful sculptures 💜❤️
  • Patan Durbar Square is filled with historical places from temples to museums and fascinating nooks and crannies. Local businesses thrive there as it is a hot destination for tourists. The local people living there are very warm and welcoming and when asked will tell you all about the history of this place. When you visit the area, you will find different restaurants, cafes and even vendors that will serve you both hot & cold beverages. It is also the oldest shopping destination where you can find daily goods. The ambience of there is totally different which you will not find anywhere else. It is a must visit place when you are in K-town to have fun and spend time with your family and friends!!
