  • A peaceful oasis in the heart of the busy city. Surrounded tightly by modern buildings. Surprisingly light & airy interior. Worth a visit.

  • Lovely Roman Catholic church.. Centrally located very close to Courtney Place.. Beautiful and serene church.. Felt very peaceful.. They conduct a mass at 5.15pm everyday in the Roman Catholic rite..
  • I used to frequent St Mary of the Angels to attend the weekly liturgy in my heyday as a VUW student. Sometimes, I would go there just to contemplate the future, or seek spiritual refuge. Being away from home was challenging at the time. The church is located on the corner of Boulcott Street and O'Reily Avenue in Wellington, New Zealand. It is the parish church for Wellington Central and one of the major churches of the city. The church is classified as a special or outstanding historical or cultural heritage significance. So, it's worth a visit, especially if you're a practising Roman Catholic. St Mary of the Angels is also renowned for its Gregorian Chant used in liturgies.
