Create an itinerary including Talava Arches
Take a hike to Talava Arches and witness the ocean framed by three natural limestone formations. A relatively short walk (about 30 minutes) takes you through tropical rainforest to reach this attraction. With any luck, you'll spot humpbacks circling offshore. Wear shoes with good traction to navigate the rocky, steep slope. If you time your visit with low tide, you can snorkel in the rock pool. • One hour walk or less to reach this magical place where if one will go through the arch enters another dimension and time unknown or be it lost and never return. People are forewarned not to make...

  • Worth every careful step. One of the most beautiful sights on Niue. The guide time for this walk is 30 mins there and 30 mins back. Not because there’s any particular up or down, more that the track is VERY rough. The track is sharp broken rock and you need to take time and watch your footing carefully. Shoes are essential. We suggest this is best walked on a dry day and in good light. Addition guidance contained in the comments alongside the photos below.
  • Lovely A rocky 20min walk (bring covered walking shoes) brings you to a small cave where you will need to climb down a rock face using guide ropes. Then the whole thing opens up to a great view of the arches and surrounding rock pools which sparkle cyan in the sun. Best to go at low tide as you won't see much other wise
