Take a tour of Jibreen Castle, an imposing 17th-century fortress built by Bil’arab Bin Sultan, Omani ruler from the Yaruba Dynasty. The well-preserved castle stands alone, dominating the fertile plain near the town of Jabrin, making for a picturesque, postcard-like sight. Explore the maze-like chambers and courtyards of the walled castle, some of them elaborately decorated with carvings and painted ceilings, see the tomb of the late ruler, and gaze upon the scenic central courtyard and the surrounding plains from the top of the fortress. • Amazing, majestic and beautiful castle. Enjoyed the visit. Entry fee is omr 2 per person (for residents). Reception sraff is supportive. They also provide an audio guide device. If you are a tourist its a must visit place.
  • The castle was easy to reach by car. There was a lady who was officially issuing tickets to visitors. Well maintained and had attractions outside as well. There were washrooms available for both genders.
