ABT Divers, Salalah

In a nutshell: Great diving centre, incredibly friendly people, definitely recommendable! First off: While the head office is located in Salalah, the actual diving center is located in Mirbat, which is about 80km / 50 minutes away from Salalah. It's located in the compounds of the Roshan Resort Mirbat. If your main purpose of visit is diving, it is definelty better to get a hotel in Mirbat instead of Salalah, saving you lots of travel time. About the diving center: The staff is extremely friendly and it was a lot of fun to dive with them. The instructors are very experienced, the younger dive masters did an amazing job in navigating, and the helpers were super attentive and extremely helpful. Diving: Most dive sites are pretty shallow - some of them are merely 6-8 meters deep. The deepest I got was 18 meters. It's great for beginners, but also a lot of fun for advanced divers, as you get to not worry about air consumption and can move around much more :) Marine life is very diverse - there are a lot of smaller fish, nice corals, an occasional turtle, lobsters, sepia, countless moraines, some nudibranches, stone fish, and others... Visibility is okay-ish... some days it was 5 meters, other days around 10 meters. If you are used to super visibility, set your expecations low. But still it was great! I would definitely visit again and fully recommend this diving center!
