  • Nice place to visit if you're in Salalah. Combines a small museum (maritime and traditional history) with an archaeological digging site. What I liked was the area this place is located, which is by a small lake, with some nice overpass bridges. I found the mix of dry, rocky habitat in combination with a lake quite nice. It also looked like they also had a small boat that could be hired to take you around the lake, but I didn't try it out. I could see small animals footsteps all over the place but I didn't get to spot any animals apart from ducks, crows and the fish in the lake.
  • This Al Balid archeological site/park is located within the Frankincense World Heritage site. During medieval times, this place was the port for Frankincense trade. One can visit the museum to know more about the great historical facts. Need to walk a lot to explore the site. Worth s visit to get a glimpse of Omani culture and traditions.
