Create an itinerary including Wadi Darbat
A year-round natural spring, Wadi Darbat brings life to the valley in which it lies. Snaking through hills blanketed with thick, lush foliage, the surroundings burst with color; the vibrant green hue follows the water all the way to the Arabian Gulf. Amble your way along several nearby walking trails, stopping at shady picnic spots before exploring the nearby watery caves. Rent one of the small boats or pedaloes to make your way across the misty spring's surface. In the autumn (September-November), majestic waterfalls cascade their way down the surrounding hilltops. Bring plenty of mosquito repellant. Put Wadi Darbat into our Salalah tour itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Salalah.

  • Very nicely decorated. I recommend visiting even in the dry season. Even in March, you can still see the waterfalls there.

  • Even at the end of February, there was still quite a bit of water and the place was wonderful. Do go to the upper part of the falls.

  • A fun family experience, whether just to sit and relax by the lake, to have some food, or to go for a sail on the lake in one of their foot-paddled boats (life vests provided). A few options for food and snacks around, and large areas for sitting, both covered and uncovered on chairs or on the grass. When we went it was drizzling, but still fun to go out on the lake. Further down the road the waterfalls were nice to see, even though we didn't spend much time there. All around a good experience and beautiful scenery.
  • Beautiful place with really good activities such as boats, horse riding and coffee shops. I really enjoyed the time I spent here and will recommend it to anyone. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a lot of insects.
