Soak up the sun at Praia da Coelha, a popular cove with families looking for calm water and convenient venues. Extensive facilities line the beach, so restaurants, bars, toilets, and showers are just a couple minutes away. Lifeguards make this a safe place to swim, and the minimal waves are perfect for children. Admire the backdrop, too, with rocky cliffs and hills sloping into the sea. You'll find sun loungers and umbrellas on site. To visit Praia da Coelha on your trip to Albufeira, use our Albufeira trip planner.

  • Beautiful sandy beach with plenty of space and a nice restaurant nearby. The rock formations are unreal, and theres a small cave nearby to explore. The water is cool in June, but you can still go in for a swim!
  • One of the best beaches of the region in my opinion. There aren't a lot of rocks so the swim is quite enjoyable, and there are lots of waves, there's really no need to go swim very deep into the sea. It's not a big beach so it can get crowded easily but we didn't have too much trouble finding a spot. It's also really nice in the evening, when it's almost empty, to walk along the seashore and to take pictures.
