Wine tasting in the 4x4 open roof in Madeira. Our group guide Gil is simply wonderful. He has great knowledge about the Maderia, and his driving skill is the top! We went through some phenomenal driving routes yet very challenging to drive but Gil killed it.😂 He's very attentive and professional! I had a great time with 2 other couples who were visiting the island from Sweden and the State. Spent a decent time chatting and knowing each other. We visited a honey museum and did our first vineyard visit after that and tasted 6 wines in total. Stop over for a lovely lunch in the restaurant Gil took us and followed by the sherry tasting to end our day. Excellent trip and great experience, especially for someone like me travelling solo.

Went on north west tour with "rui from tui". He was a very informative and cheery guide. Trip was in a 4x4 with open roof. We we to tue sea cliff with the glass walkway, the mountain, Porto moniz for a chilly swim amongst other places. Lunch was ok in a mountain top restaurant (it was extra but expected). Highlights were the off road driving, where you could stand up for a view and the tiny old roads going up hill (shortcuts as rui called them). A good trio. Mainly seeing natural sites. Good if you have not been to maderia before. Rui as a guidevwas very good and engaging.
