    There are spectacular views of the castle, sitting on the hill high above the river, as you drive into Mertola from the south. The castle dates from the 13th century and it was originally a Moorish.....  more

    Not a lot to see to be honest, but the views are superb. Exhibition in the tower but, if my memory serves me well, nothing in Engllsh. Definitely worth a look when you're in Mertola.
