Create an itinerary including Praia Da Rocha
A favorite of beachgoers in Algarve, Praia Da Rocha is named for the beautiful cliffs and rocks near its shoreline. Though the sandy shores are ideal for playing with kids, taking long walks, or lounging in the sun, the area is called Rock Beach because of the cliffs. The blue waters have made this a favorite getaway for people from Portimao and beyond since the late 1800s. You'll have your pick of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, and clubs along Tomás Cabreira, an avenue across the top of the beach. You can also visit the Fortress of Santa Catarina de Ribamar for views of the coast and marina. • A good selection of shops, cafe's , pubs, nightclub and a casino, friendly people. On a cliff top, so it's steps or 1 ramp to the beautiful beach

  • Best longest stretch of beach to avoid crowding. Lovely clean, white sandy beach and plenty of space to find your own.
  • It’s a beautiful beach surrounded by some large rocks. Some parts of the beach have a lot of seaweed. I believe you need to take boats or kayak to be able to see those rocks and caves better. Be mindful that there is a wood staircase that you need to take to go down to some parts of the beach.
