The track is really very pleasant and easy. The view was beautiful as was the general route. Only the way back is really exhausting. Unfortunately, nothing is marked on the way so that you know approximately how far it is or that you have arrived at the "destination". As a result, we ran way too far and had a very strenuous way back.

The start is accessible from Funchal by bus 56. Not a technical hike. Can be combined with PR11, which I personally recommend! There is usually not a view from the path, as it's covered by trees, but still a recommended hike that is very easy to access from Funchal without a car!
