  • Thus was a lovely contemplative, calming stop in Tavira. They have an art exhibition currently featuring a contemporary Portuguese artist and older statues concerning Saint Joseph and his role as father. Of course the main highlight is inside the church with the Portuguese tale of depictions of the virtues etc. no bathroom available FYI. There’s also no holiday program or music etc. unfortunately. But I did enjoyed the little tour I think it was two euros, I didn’t go to the top of the belltower. The gold leaf at the altar was really stunning.
  • Beautiful old church with rich decoration. Typical blue-white tiles on the walls and a large golden altar piece. Really impressive and definitely worth a visit. There are some steps to take so quite probably not accessible for wheelchairs.
