Stroll along the water's edge with the harbor lights in the distance at Sentosa Boardwalk. This scenic route is the pedestrian way into Sentosa, starting at the waterfront shopping mall and making its way onto the island. The walkway is made accessible by two-way moving sidewalks covered by a canopy. The boardwalk is also the first in Southeast Asia to feature indigenous, tropical landscapes. You'll pass modern architecture, jungle landscape, manicured gardens, theme parks, and anchored ships on your walk. Remember to pack water and sunscreen. • The boardwalk is OK but it leads to the horror of Sentosa Island. So agree with AK59. This is a concrete nightmare of theme parks, with construction everywhere leading to the paths to the 'trails...

  • The boardwalk is a good idea as the entire structure is sheltered. It's also great for visitors in wheelchairs or kids in strollers as the boardwalk also has a moving walkway.

  • Splendid and underrated walk from Vivocity Mall to Sentosa Island. Best time to stroll is early evening when the sun begins to set and not as humid. There are escalators for those who wish to take a relaxing walk but they are not operational all the time. A pleasant place to sit down and enjoy the awesome views!
  • For a stroll to Sentosa, the 670m Sentosa Boardwalk takes you to Sentosa with the shaded portion having people movers (flat escalators) taking you from one end to the other. Built in 2011 at the cost of $70m, running parallel to the Sentosa Bridge, it connects VivoCity to Resorts World Sentosa. Entry is currently free.
