A huge park complex with a broad array of natural and man-made attractions, Seoul Grand Park spans 915 hectares (2,261 acres) at the foot of Mt. Cheonggye. Centered around a large lake, the park includes Korea's oldest zoo, with 3,700 animals from 300 species and a children's petting zoo. You can also admire the 250 native plants in the vast botanical garden, including tropical vegetation, cacti, and orchids. A very disappointing visit. Only the sky lift was the best part. For the zoo itself, we walked from an empty enclosure to another empty enclosure. We even joked that there were more human beings...

I didn’t go to the zoo nor Seoul Land at the Park - both of which looked depressingly lonely; however I did enjoy a nice walk around the park grounds. There were a lot of people having picnics...

We took the cable car ride into the zoo. The ride itself is great as it saves you the trouble of having to walk up to the zoo and you get to enjoy the scenery. The zoo itself is very huge and can be quite tiring to walk all day. The animals are great of course, and the sun bears were especially friendly to humans. There are interesting sections such as the nocturnal exhibit and the insectarium. There are many restaurants in the zoo itself, alongside the super cool lion cafe. Highly recommend to get a seat by the window to get a close view of the lions. To get back to the metro from the zoo you can take the elephant train, which is just a tram ride back. It costs money and you can buy the ticket from a kiosk near the boarding section.

Must do family outing location. Make sure you reach when it opens at 10 as there is a lot to do here. Also it will be easier to take the cable car to the farthest point and then walk back to the entrance as this is downhill and much more convenient. Weekends can get a bit crowded but since it's a huge place, the only time it matters is when you are in queue for cable car. But an absolute 10/10 for family outing.
