  • Stunning palace in an amazing place, with fabulous views of breathtaking scenery, delightful ponds of water lilies and lotus flowers, all on the edge of the National Park. We were so surprised to be the only ones there…. It appears to be Gyeongju’s best kept secret!
  • Tongiljeon is a memorial hall commemorating the unification of the three kingdoms of Silla, Baekje and Goguryeo. There are three stone monuments of King Taejongmuyeol, King Munmu and General Kim Yu-sin. Because it is not mentioned widely, few visitors are found here making it a tranquil site. The location of the hall is at the end of Tongil-ro which is lined with ginkgo trees. It is an awesome sight when one looks down the pictureque area from the highest entrance of the hall. It is the most beautiful place I have been while in Gyeongju.
