  • A 5 star location to visit BUT a 3 star rating to stay here overnight as a Temple Stay guest. Why? Even sleeping in the new ensuite twin bed rooms, the overnight stay here was a penance. Communal...

  • This was one of our highlights when it came to the sites visited in Korea. It’s an active monastery situated in a national park date back to the 9th century. You can scroll the grounds as the monks...

  • Take a bus (1.5 hours) from Seobu bus terminal (connected with metro line 1, Daegu). From bus stop there's a 1.2 km to temple, green, nice, uphill. You can be able to catch a taxi, if you for instance have luggage for your temple stay. Bus runs every 40 min, bring cash to pay for bus trip back (8100 won). Book café on temple grounds. Cafés and restaurants along the walk. I didn't do a temple stay, but you can book online and pay for it cash at the temple. Very nice that it's a working temple. Hiking paths up the mountain.
  • 1.The air is clean because there are many trees. 2.I feel like i'm clearing my mind. 3.I like the scenery that harmonizes with nature. 4.The history of our country is well revealed.
