At 800 years old and reaching 25 m (82 ft), the world's oldest nutmeg tree--“Ancestor tree of the Bija trees”--grows in the green oasis of Bijarim Forest. The evergreen forest contains around 2800 nutmeg trees between 500-800 years old, with their nutmeg known for its beneficial effect on the immune system. Walk around the picturesque pathways and breathe the fresh air, or sit on the park's benches and large rocks, enjoying the vista of rich treetops spreading like spider's webs. Feel the soothing ambiance and energizing power of the beautiful forest. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Bijarim Forest and many more Jeju attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Jeju driving holiday planner.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful walk and scenery. The trails can get a little slippery when wet with snow, but the environment was magical.

* Note: if you're driving in Jeju, you should download the Naver maps that has english navigations guidance available; google maps does not provide navigation in Korea. If you require driving tips/guide in jeju, go to my profile and look for my review for lotte rent a car auto house. * To be very frank, this forest is just like another other forest. However it has a history that Kings of jeju use to go there to breathe in the air and feel revitalise. I would recommend here only if you have ran out of attractions to visit in jeju.
