The Third Tunnel, also known as the third tunnel of aggression, passes under the demilitarized zone between two formerly warring states. In the 1970s, South Korea discovered four out of around a dozen tunnels that North Korea had built while planning the invasion of its neighbor. Nowadays, you can still see the three concrete barricades the South Koreans built to block the military demarcation line at the site. Starting from the lobby, walk down the wide cement incline, which gets narrower and lower as you reach the original section of the tunnel. Keep your helmet on to avoid bumping your head. You can either walk in a crouching position down the long, steep slope, or take a ride on a rail system going into the tunnel.
