At the center of Jeju Island lies Halla Mountain, a designated nature reserve which contains hundreds of cone-shaped volcanos surrounding the main mountain. Famous for its diverse ecosystem due to changes in altitude and temperature, the park shelters 1,800 species of identified plant life and 4,000 species of animals. Go on a hiking trip of 10 km (6.2 mi) to explore the natural haven, or you can even head to the mountain top with no terrain difficulties. Bear in mind that the weather unpredictably changes, so make thorough preparations, especially before ascending to the peak. • This is almost the only thing worth it from Jeju, a horrible Island with nothing interesting. Hallasan park is beautiful with great and easy treks.

  • Incredible mountain to hike! The trail itself isn’t difficult, but it is very very long, also a lot of staircase and tricky rocky paths. It took us around 7 hours to complete the trail back and forth, which is around 20km total, including breaks and a lunch on top. Definitely brings lots and lots of water! The feeling when you’re on top is amazing! Being 2000 meters high up in the sky in altitude is an incredible feeling! If you have the chance to hike this volcano, it’s something to experience in your lifetime!
  • An incredible hiking trail! While you can't really explore the park other than the trail to the top, it's still an incredible place to spend a day. Take either trail up and take the other down for a great experience 😁
