Experience the culture of Buddhism at Yakchunsa Temple. The building rises 30 m (98 ft) high and covers an area of 3,305 sq m (35,575 sq ft), making it the largest temple in the East. Keep an eye out for the 5 m (16 ft) "Vairocana" (celestial Buddha) statue right at the entrance, then admire the temple walls, adorned with carved portraits of Buddha. Beautiful Temple, friendly monks and helpers, they even let us strike the bell, stunning. Very handy for Jungmun resort.

A very serene, beautiful, and peaceful Buddhist temple on Jeju Island! The entrance to the temple is tranquil with a fountain and fish pond. There is also a large bell and a huge drum at the compound of the entrance of the temple. It is highly recommended to visit this temple and explore the stunning interior of the main hall. The temple is very clean and well-designed. The architecture is impressive and artistic particularly the gold dragon on the pillar.

A nice big temple that's free to enter! Highly recommended for those who want to get away from the typical museum itinerary of Jeju. Only drawback is that it's a bit secluded, so there's not much to do around it afterwards. But by itself, I think it was worth the 15-min taxi ride from the hotel.
