Admire Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to Gyeongbokgung palace and a symbol of the long-reigning Joseon dynasty. Originally built in 1395, the gate was destroyed numerous times, most notably during Japanese invasions and in the Korean War. It has been painstakingly reconstructed from 2006 to 2010, in an effort to make it closely resemble the original. When visiting the gate, you can observe the ceremonial changing of the royal guards, a ritual performed hourly between 10 am and 3 pm. The main gate for Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is lovely to see and a great place to take pictures. They also do a changing of the guard ceremony here which is really interesting to watch.
