Visit the World Heritage Site of Jongmyo Shrine, an ancient Confucian shrine that holds traditional memorial services for royals of the Joseon dynasty. Erected in 1394, it was ruined in the Japanese invasions before being rebuilt in 1608. The well-preserved shrine still conducts elaborate rituals and performances that were established in the 14th century, involving the summoning of ancestral spirits. Take a tour of the spacious, austere building, available in English at scheduled times, to learn more about the shrine’s history and its role in South Korean culture. This sanctuary is a UNESCO heritage site together with the Joseon palaces and the secret garden. The combined ticket covers the entrance to the sanctuary. It is cheap. It is far from the palaces...

Jongmyo Shrine The place I will introduce is Jongmyo. It is located in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Admission to Jongmyo is 1000 won from 25 to 65 years old. And those under 25 and over 65 are free if they have an ID card. Jongmyo Shrine used to be a royal shrine for kings and queens, but now it is designated as a World Heritage Site and it is also a place where people come to tour. Lastly, to introduce the scenery of Jongmyo, the two ponds in front of the entrance of Jongmyo are beautiful to see while taking a walk and the snow view of Jongmyo is beautiful, too. Therefore, if you go to Seoul, I recommend you to go to Jongmyo.

I visit to Jongmyo Shrine. I’d like to share my experience of visiting Jongmyo Shrine, it is located in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. The admission fee to Jongmyo Shrine is 1000won,and only adults aged 25 to 64 are eligible. Jongmyo Shrine is a place where national religious services are held by sealing the mortuary tablets of kings and queens who were consecrated to the throne during the Joseon Dynasty, and kings and queens who were posthumously crowned kings. Jongmyo Shrine has hanok and walking trails, so I recommend it because you can easily experience and learn about Korean history and culture
