Just went to dawn Beach 2 weeks ago and it was buried under a thick layer of seaweed. It was horrendous and same problem with orient beach. Basically the beaches on the eastern side are not very nice even in the winter. Not sure why it's such a secret since no one mentioned it in their reviews and I'm sure I didn't just stumbled upon the one day out of the year that it had seaweed.

Not for swimming for sure, too wavy and too much sea weed, nice view but you can get that anywhere in the Island
