Inspired by a World Heritage-listed temple in China, Taipei Confucius Temple ranks as one of the capital's most important religious sites. Marvel at the traditional architectural style of the temple, featuring upward-swooping rooftops, support pillars, and wood-paneled doors and walls. Admire the building's colorful decorations, which include dragons and other carvings along the top and edges of the roof. Afterwards, wander the complex grounds to see ceramic reliefs and decorative panels scattered throughout. You'll find a number of English-language informational plaques and displays detailing the history the temple. Plan my day in Taipei using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Beautiful and stately temple. There are a couple interactive exhibits as well. I really enjoyed the serenity of the complex, as well as the art and architecture. A stunning old tree stands in the courtyard, and there were even some cute Confucius chibi statues.

This temple is beautiful and I find temple designs around Asia very intriguing. Taiwanese temples are very colorful and full of elaborate designs. There is just so much to look at. There is a good amount of little things to read if you pay attention to all the small details, but looking at the temple is well worth the trip to check it out. I went extremely early, so there is no one even there, so I enjoyed it quite a bit. I recommend to those who are into temples and want to see more cultural things in the city.
