Museum Het Rembrandthuis
Celebrate the life and career of famous Dutch artist Rembrandt at Museum Het Rembrandthuis, a home where he spent more than two decades. Rembrandt lived and painted in this house from 1639 to 1658. Today you can visit the museum and home, which was remodeled to reflect how it would have looked when Rembrandt lived there. Walk through a replica of his bedroom, view his collection of artifacts from around the world, and see many of his prominent works on display. You can also take a guided tour, participate in a print-making workshop, or watch an etching and paint-preparation demonstration. Arrange your visit to Museum Het Rembrandthuis and discover more family-friendly attractions in Amsterdam using our Amsterdam trip planning website.

Friendly staff and beautifully preserved building. Its amazing to actually go into his art studio and the other personal rooms he lived in. Excellent audio tour. Highly recommend. Would have liked...

Really neat experience. The ticket comes with a free audio tour device that's available in a bunch of different languages. The audio tour itself is really informative and is worth listening to. The house itself is really interesting and there is a fair bit of art displayed in the house. I wish there had been more Rembrandt work as a lot of it is contemporaries and students of his. There is a separate gallery that displays a rotating collection at the end of the tour.

It was nice view of Rembrandt life and consequences in his paintings and life. The automatized audio device was perfect, really great stuff and easy to handle. It is for about an hour to spend and get to know more about this famous Dutch painter and art business man.
