The emirate of Fujairah occupies almost the entire east coast of U.A.E., apart from three small enclaves belonging to neighboring emirate Sharjah. Most tourism in Fujairah concentrates along the white sand beaches and luxury resorts north of Khor Fakkan. To the south, busy industrial ports supplying the oil industry dominate the coastline. Inland, the Hajjar mountain range blankets Fujairah almost entirely. Historical forts and mosques dot the landscape, providing some cultural attractions.
