Surrounded by shark-infested waters and connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus of land, Port Arthur ranks among Australia's top historical sites and heritage areas.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Three Capes Track and Tasman Arch. Step out of Port Arthur to go to Dunalley and see Bangor Vineyard Shed, which is approximately 40 minutes away. There's still lots to do: head outdoors with Wild Ocean Tasmania, get to know the fascinating history of Cape Raoul, pause for some photo ops at Dog Line, and make a trip to Tessellated Pavement.
