One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong. Museum-lovers will get to explore Seoul Arts Center and The War Memorial of Korea. Traveling from New Delhi in December, expect Seoul to be cooler, temps between 3°C and -5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sun) so you can fly to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Mon): admire the masterpieces at Busan Museum of Art, then enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach.

Getting from Seoul to Busan by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: fly; or take a train; or drive. In December, Busan is a bit warmer than Seoul - with highs of 10°C and lows of 0°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Mon) early enough to catch the flight to Jeju.

Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Hamdeok Beach and Iho Tewoo Beach. Step out of Jeju to go to Seogwipo and see O’sulloc Tea Museum, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Gwakji Gwamul Beach, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Jeju Beer, get outside with Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, and take in the pleasant sights at Handam Coastal Trail.

Traveling by flight from Busan to Jeju takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. You'll have a few hours on the 16th (Fri) to wrap things up before traveling home.
